Register and get your entry permit at the Wildlife office. Then embark from Sg Relau to Kuala Juram by 4WD (13km). From Kuala Juram, start trekking under the rainforest canopy about 11 km to Lata Luis. This trail is one of the best trails in Malaysia (The Gunung Tahan Trail). Set up your own tent, relaxing, wading or swimming at crystal clear Luis waterfall.
Cook for your dinner and camping in the real inner rainforest. In the morning, prepare your dinner and then start trekking back to Kuala Juram. At Kuala Juram Kelah Sanctuary, feed the king of freshwater fish, the Red Mahseer. Feel the bites on your fingers and try your skill to catch them with your bare hands. From Kuala Juram, embark by 4WD to Sungai Relau.
The small number of visitors is one of the key factors makes Taman Negara Sungai Relau remain intact. Therefore, it should be in the list of must-visit places for those who love nature and pristine rainforest.
